FAA Flammability Test Chamber 70-FFTC100

FAA Flammability Test Chamber 70-FFTC100

70-FFTC100 FAA Flammability Test Chamber is designed to determine the flame propagation and after the flame time of material when subjected to a small flame. The design of the instrument allows us to test in the horizontal, vertical and also at 45˚ to the datum plane. It also includes a 60˚ cable test. All four tests are included with the standard FAA-4C instrument. We have different combinations and can be supplied to customer requirements. This instrument as both horizontal and vertical configurations. Switching from one configuration to another task will take only a minute with minimal setup time between the tests. It is easy to use and ideal for use in quality control applications.

Dimensions (W×H×D) 752x 832 x 330 mm
Packed weight 60 Kg
  • The apparatus is a bench mounted and ergonomically design
Integrated with a digital timer which automatically controls gas flow and records timed events
A wall-mounted variable speed extraction hood is also available as an option to assist in evacuating the contents of the chamber during and after testing
Test chambers according to FAR Part 25: Horizontal, Vertical, 45˚ and 60˚ tests
Adjustable burner position from the front
Automatic starting of the test when the burner is placed in a test position
Consist of selectable and automated flame application time
Enables ‘after flame’ and ‘dripping’ timings to be recorded
An adjustable burner offset gas entry to avoid clogging of burner
    Precision stainless steel needle valve
The specimen holder and support systems to perform all four of the small tests which are contained in this instrument
The gas is switched off automatically at the end of the flame application time, it can also be moved physically away from the sample, as this requirement is mandatory in some test methods
  • It is used to assess the burning behaviour of internal materials used in aircraft or other related vehicles.
